Honestly, I have no idea why Matsujun keeps coming up in my conversations lately. I seem to have this weird thing where Nino is my favorite, Sho and Ohno fight for my attention, Aiba cheers me up, and some sick part of me is just obsessed with Jun. It might be because he baited me, technically, if we're going to be honest...

It was Ohno's pelvic thrust at the end of Sakura Sake that made me actually join fandom, but Hana Yori Dango came first.

Anyway, Nino's on my layout and it's pretty so hooray. :) Now I just have to fill in userpics. I KEEP TRYING TO RESIST YOU GUYS BUT DW IS TEMPTING. It basically is livejournal, but sort of more confined. Like a party with my friends. :o :o

Which is why I'm kind of sad I didn't take advantage of all the newness and get a different username. OH WELL. Also, I am trying to add all these fic communities and icon communities and such. Give me time, I will be a part of all them. WHICH REMINDS ME - if you guys know anyone I should be friends with, send them my way? Will probably be easier to make some additional friends here (but I'm afraid to do memes and get too many D:).

I totally agree: DW is like a fandom party. It's a confined space, but it's also a happy space, and I am totally enjoying the atmosphere. It's got me doing housecleaning, setting up new things. Now I have to rework my recs page. Ahahahah. That will take forever, um.

I've been with LJ for 6 years, and while I love it and want to keep with it for that reason, sometimes it just feels GOOD to have that sense of "Ah, something new!"

A little new, but familiar. I can go with that pace. Haha.

Yeah, I've been with LJ a long, long time too. There's a great diversity there that isn't here (yet), for sure, and I'm not really ready to give up on all those connections and possibilities. But at the same time, that's something that makes it feel more cluttered, too? Since I jumped over here, I feel kinda refreshed. It's making me want to dive in again and really do things. I have an itch to make icons now. *g*

So having both is a nice thing. :D

Having both is definitely nice. I agree that because things are new here, it feels less cluttered. One of the sad things about LJ (and good things... it works both ways) is that communities and journals that haven't been updated in years tend to just linger on. While it's nice to be able to go and look through old things, it's also frustrating to think, "I can't have this comm name because someone took it 3 years ago and did nothing with it."

I guess I'm just interested to see where this goes at the same time I keep up with good old livejournal. It's going to take awhile for the badfic to filter over. ;)

I think that DW is intending to have the same policy of not deleting names that haven't been used in a long time. At first I was like, suck :( until I read their reasoning, which was that people might be unable to access their journal for a long time, like in the event of military duty or moving somewhere with no internet access or something. And I can respect that. I wouldn't want my journal deleted if I had to go away for a longass time.

It would be nice if there were a way to differentiate, though.

Ahhhhhh, badfic. I shall relish the short window of time in which we are free of it. *g*

i just keep avoiding lj on my ~hiatus~ because it is too overwhelming. my fpage is so creepy. there's so many people and so many communities and even the filters i set up a while back don't help anymore, ugh. i like that dw is nice and neat atm :'> t-though i feel kind of mean for temporarily abandoning my lj friends. WHATEVER, THAT'S WHAT HIATUS IS FOR. even though i've got a lot to do school-wise, somehow it's easy enough to keep up with dw so i might as well.
