I have such a love-hate relationship with my History of the English Language course. It's got a TON of reading and work, quizzes every class period, is not particularly relevant to anything I want to do later in life (as far as I'm aware, though I am picking up grammar things I should have already learned - oops), but the Professor is INSANELY in love with the subject and he makes me happy to go to class and listen to him go on and on about aspirated P and SUBJECT COMPLEMENT because OMG Predicate Nominative is for losers (in this case).

Anyway, the point is -

*eyebrow wiggle* Oh I am picking up what you are putting down, good sir. I'd make Merlin jokes but first of all, I'm not as into the fandom as everyone else in the universe, and secondly - Arthur was probably a Romanized Celt who did not speak this language. Deal. Does anyone remember the time when Arthur was a small child pulling a sword out of a stone and Merlin was OLD and adorable?

Today I drew pictures of those brooms that carry buckets of water in Fantasia. Given this is not the first time I have randomly doodled them in a class (the last time was years ago, but still)... I have to wonder what brings my brain back to them at random points of my life. WHAT IS IT ABOUT THE BROOMS? WHAT IS IT?
